In 1978, Maria and her husband Frank opened their salon. Meet Maria – she is the heart and soul of Framar, and continues to provide a strong foundation for the company today. For the first 20 years, she was a one-woman show, handling every aspect of the business, from production and sales to personally packing each order by hand.

Over 35 years after taking a leap of faith to create this company, Maria remains at the helm, serving as the company's President and staying intimately involved in all things Framar.

So, how did we get our start? Maria founded Framar in 1986, working out of the back of her husband's salon. She became the first in Canada to create foil specifically designed for hair stylists.
